COB 24V LED Pixel Tapes

COB 24v led pixel tapes are high-density LED strip lights that offer uniform illumination and eliminate virtually all dotting and spot-glare effects. They operate on 24V DC, providing higher voltage stability and reducing power drop for longer runs. They also incorporate white LED chips for a more natural and accurate white color than RGB tapes.

Addressable COB strip lights have individually controllable LED "pixels" spaced 1.31" apart, enabling dynamic lighting patterns and effects. Create endless effects such as chasing, popcorning, waves, and strobe with easy-to-use SPI control protocol.

What's the difference between RGB and RGBW pixel tapes?

RGB Tape uses 3 channels per LED, Red, Green and Blue so it requires less DMX universes than RGBW tape. RGBW Pixel Tape has an additional dedicated white LED and uses 4 channels per LED so it will require more DMX universes to map the tape. Generally speaking RGBW Tape produces a more natural and accurate white tone than RGB tapes.

What type of surface is best for installing pixel tape?

Pixel tape should be installed on a clean, dry, and smooth surface that is thermally conductive. This will ensure proper heat dissipation from the strip. The surface should also be free from dust, grit, dirt and other contaminants.

How long can a strip of pixel tape be run before power loss starts to affect the color?

The amount of time a pixel strip can be run before the effect of voltage drop starts to impact the colors will vary depending on the manufacturer. It is recommended to determine the maximum length of a strip before voltage drop will start to affect the colors and to inject power every x meters beyond this limit.
