UCS2903 This pixel protocol was designed by Lianxinke in China, and it is very similar with ws2811/SM16703, and UCS2903 is an improved design of its previous version, UCS1904, offering a constant current design, allowing for a more stable lighting system. The control circuit comes in a SOP8 package, allowing for more flexibility with LED choice.

The UCS2903 is a 3-channel LED display driver / controller with a built-in MCU digital interface, data latches and LED high voltage driving functions. It features superior performances and reliable functions. Under the control of the external MCU, it performs independent grayscale control through data-cascading transfer for driving large outdoor colour dot-matrix LED panels.

UCS2903 Advantages
- Up to 24V, allowing for very long cable lengths
- High PWM rate allows for filming these pixels with cameras up to 54fps
UCS2903 Disadvantages
- Data-only restricts refresh rates to be limited by the speed of the protocol, which will generally be slow
- Only 8 bits of data for each color makes dimming curves less smooth
- No redundancy in data
