Technical Specifications

Clock TypeData-Only
Color Resolution12 bits
Physical PackageSOP8/10/14
RGBYes
Output Pixel Voltage5 – 17V
PWM Rate1000Hz
Suitable CameraUp to 34fps, see Refresh Rate and PWM Rate
Data Transfer Rate100-1000kbps
Redundant Data LineYes (With SOP14 Package)

TLS3001 Advantages

  • High PWM rate allows for filming these pixels with cameras up to 34fps
  • Up to 17V, allowing for long cable lengths
  • Option for redundant data line reduces chance of entire strip failure
  • 12 bits of data for each color makes dimming curves more smooth

TLS3001 Disadvantages

  • Data-only restricts refresh rates to be limited by the speed of the protocol, which will generally be slow

Operational Behavior

On start-up, only the first TLS3001 pixel in a chain will illuminate for a second, while the pixels initialise themselves. When initialisation has completed, all pixels will proceed to respond to their incoming data.
