5050 RGB LED Tapes

5050 rgb led tapes use high-brightness RGB SMD (surface-mounted device) LED chips on a flexible PCB strip that can be bent and shaped to fit a wide variety of surfaces. Their luminous surface area is three times larger than common 3528 LEDs, and they can produce more vibrant colors. They also consume less power than standard RGB strips, reducing electricity costs and environmental impact. They can be controlled using a remote or smartphone app, or you can set them to automatically turn on and off at specific times.

This low-voltage strip is safe for the skin and does not generate a lot of heat, making it easy to handle and install. It operates on 12V, which is ideal for home installations and reduces the risk of electrical hazards. Waterproof models are encased in silicone and are suitable for outdoor or humid environments, while non-waterproof strips can be used indoors.

Both types are compatible with any of our channel systems and a wide range of controllers. The UL-listed strip lights are rated for 50,000 hours, so you'll get years of trouble-free use. Choose from uncoated or waterproof versions, with a choice of 30 or 60 LEDs per meter and cut-points at 100mm intervals. We recommend choosing branded Epistar SMDs, which have the highest brightness and color consistency and perform reliably over long periods of time.
